THE REALLY BIG CHOICE
A song writer said it well when he sang the words “you gotta serve somebody” which may not be the best grammar – nonetheless it delivers a powerful and accurate depiction of life. Many of us think small when hearing those words “you gotta serve somebody” when in actuality we ought to expand our thinking to it’s limit. The greatest power is held by those who we do not see. I am not talking about the individuals who live out of sight in gated communities or in mansions located in inaccessible locations, but I speak of those who make up the unseen spirit world. We humans are after all created lower in the realm of power than are the angels whether they are fallen angels or not. The use of their power to effect our everyday lives is evident to the discerning eye of faith.
There is though a saving grace,”literally” for all of us who actively place our trust in our Lord and Savior. For years I have said there are not three powers, only two and ultimately and actually one which is the Great and all powerful almighty God Jehovah. Now back to the saving grace I referred to which is available to all mankind encapsulated in a wonderful fact the God makes possible only through His grace extended to an individual in which He has made receptive to hear His truth. Grace and truth came by Jesus the Christ of God, the Father will draw men unto Him. Though we as humans have no real power we do have this one option, a power of a sort, that when God reveals Himself through Christ we may by choice decide if we would like to exercise the thing which Satan has no power to do and no power to thwart our decision to do, we can choose who we claim as our Father and consequently be born into God’s family. When we do this we are removed from Satan’s legitimate claim of being our father as shown in John 8:44 and translated into the Kingdom of God’s light, in Christ, in God’s Grace, and in the everlasting Love of God! As scripture states the immenseness of God’s grace in declaring that no power on earth or in Heaven can remove us from Christ’s hands!
